I’ll Have Another is from the third horse betting crop by Flower Alley, winner of more than $2.5 million. Flower Alley won or placed in seven graded events, winning the Travers Stakes-G1 and finishing second in the Breeders’ Cup Classic-G1, both in 2005. Flower Alley produced 2011 Central Bank Ashland Stakes-G1 winner Lilacs and Lace.

Arch’s Gal Edith won her only horse betting race, a MSW sprint at Belmont Park in 2005, doing so at 27/1 odds. She has produced three foals, all winners.

2YO RACING SEASON

I’ll Have Another made his horse betting career debut a winning one, leading every step of the way in a 5 ½-furlong sprint at Hollywood Park on July 3. That race was run over a synthetic, all-weather, surface.

Wasting no time taking on tougher horse betting competition, I’ll Have Another showed up on August 7 for the Best Pal Stakes-G2 at Del Mar, and finished a clear runner-up behind Creative Cause after again showing high speed.

Following the Best Pal Stakes trainer Doug O’Neill decided to ship across the country for the Hopeful Stakes-G1 on September 5 at Saratoga. It was a disaster. Not only was I’ll Have Another trying dirt for the first time, but day-long rain turned the track into a sloppy horse betting mess. This colt never looked comfortable and retreated to the west coast a well-beaten sixth.

3YO RACING SEASON

O’Neill took plenty of time to regroup, and I’ll Have Another didn’t resurface until February 4 at Santa Anita. Racing around two turns for the first time, on the horse betting heels of a five-month layoff, I’ll Have Another was completely ignored by horse bettors and allowed to get away at 43/1 odds. Parlaying his good speed into a perfect trip tracking the early leader, I’ll Have Another got the jump and pulled away through the stretch to pull the shocking upset by nearly three lengths.

I’ll Have Another is expected to make his final Kentucky Derby horse betting prep in the Santa Anita Derby-G1.
