Hansen is a gray son of Tapit, winner of the 2004 Wood Memorial Stakes-G1. Tapit would go on to finish ninth in the Kentucky Derby that year. In the breeding shed Tapit has produced such graded stakes horse betting winners as Joyful Victory, Tapizar, Tapitsfly, Careless Jewel, Zazu and Stardom Bound.

Stormy Sunday won 3-of-4 lifetime races for horse betting earnings of $33,000. In addition to Hansen she has produced one other foal, also a winner.

Hansen made a sparkling horse betting debut at Turfway Park on September 9, 2011. Sent away as the 4/5 betting favorite, Hansen sprinted to an early five-length length and kept on going, winning a 5 ½-furlong horse betting sprint by more than 12 lengths.

Just 15 days later Hansen stepped into stakes’ company, and also stretched out around two horse betting turns. Once again his speed was on horse betting display, and he crushed a decent field in the $100,000 Kentucky Cup Juvenile by more than 13 lengths.

Two fast and visually impressive wins, albeit against questionable horse betting competition, earned Hansen a chance against the big boys in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile-G1 on November 5 and Churchill Downs. Racing over conventional dirt for the first time, and with a new rider in Ramon Dominguez, Hansen once again made the pace and was dead-game in holding off Union Rags by a horse betting head.

It took Hansen just two horse betting months to go from career debut to two-year-old champion.

Hansen didn’t begin his 2012 campaign until late January, when he loaded into the horse betting gate for the Holy Bull Stakes-G3 at Gulfstream Park. Racing over a sloppy track for the first time, Hansen stumbled leaving the gate and then ran off under Dominguez. His early horse betting efforts took their toll, as he was run over in the horse betting stretch by Algorithms and suffered the first loss of his career.

Trainer Mike Maker elected to send Hansen to New York for his next race, and he would also make an equipment change – Hansen would race without horse betting blinkers for the first time. Drawn wide in the Gotham Stakes-G3 on March 3, Hansen again broke a little slow and fir the first time in his career he was no setting the early pace. It didn’t matter. On this day he settled beautifully and was simply too good, returning to the winner’s circle in emphatic horse betting fashion.

Hansen returned to Kentucky following the Gotham Stakes, and while there is some horse betting chatter about running in the Vinery Racing Spiral Stakes-G3 at Turfway Park, it is more likely he returns to New York for the more lucrative Wood Memorial-G1.
